This beautiful Bowie knife is a reproduction of the some historical models. It has a brass guard, with a brass spine protector. The brass is pressed and forged to the spine, not glued. The handle is curly maple that has been slightly charred to give an antiqued look. This knife is a usable knife, not a wall hangar. It is pretty enough to display, but can also be taken outside and used at it was designed long ago.
